Now that I have 2 hands back to type, let’s talk pantry organization. Let me clear up one thing though, someone commented recently that “it’s clear I don’t have kids at home” and just for the record, my OCPD was worse when I had kids at home. Believe it or not, this is me chill. 😜

Now my pantry was organized way before it was cool, my snack game has always been strong, just ask the kids! But I did it on a budget using these plastic bins. They have all different sizes, they are super cheap and they have them in bulk. They work just as well as any of the higher priced organizers. 🍫🍬🍭🧁🍩 🍿

For my cereal I use these plastic jars with lids, they are much cheaper than most cereal containers AND they seal much better and keep the cereal fresher longer. And FYI, I don’t put my cereal in these containers until after I have opened for the first time. For me the point of freshness is more important then cuteness.

My cookie jar is just this glass jar with lid, nothing fancy and I can see the cookies…..which may not be a good thing actually. 😋🍪🍪🍪

My pasta is in these nicer glass containers ONLY because I randomly found them on sale at different times. Otherwise, I would be using the same as the cereal, they come in all different sizes. 🍝

While my sugar and flour are not in my pantry, they are in the cabinet next to my stove, I will show you what I have those in. They come in all different sizes and keep things way fresher than a normal canister plus reasonably priced.

My powdered sugar and brown sugar are also in the cabinet next to my stove. I use these smaller air tight containers for those. I do also use a brown sugar bear 🧸, you soak it in water for 20 minutes and then add to brown sugar to keep it moist. You will also notice I have not opened my new bag of brown sugar yet so it is not yet in the container…..freshness over cuteness.

These things are not difficult to do, even when super busy with a house full BUT completely unnecessary!! For me, organization makes me happy and calms my nerves. I enjoy cleaning! I enjoy laundry…..like a lot….I really want to start a side hustle doing laundry for people but laundry is another post! My point is NEVER EVER let someone else’s clean home or organized pantry make you feel like you aren’t doing enough. A happy home full of love is far more important than a clean home!! 🥰 I have had people tell me coming to my house is uncomfortable……not recently, years ago when I was super crazy! But coming to visit you in your home that is lived in and fun and happy, that feels great to me! ❤️💚🩵🧡 My OCPD doesn’t really surface in anyone’s home but my own! 😁
