This is my closet, I do love it ❤️ and I organized it cheaply. A lot of the things are just visual, using all the same color hangers for example. I chose all white and you can get those cheaply at Wal-Mart. I did recently order some from Amazon because the Wal-Mart hangers seem to get more frail every time I buy them or maybe I am just hard on hangers 💪. So I got these white however I really really really want to change them to the pink 💖……I am not going to cause that would just be frivolous 💰 but I want to! 😁
I don’t have a dresser in my bedroom, I use these cubby boxes for all my things that would go in a dresser, you can’t see in the picture but there are 2 on each shelf, totaling 10 and 3 of those are pajamas…..I may have a pj problem 🤪 . Anyway, you can use whatever cubby boxes you want and if you don’t have shelves in your closet like this, you can easily add them cheaply like I added the shoe shelves. I did get these cubby boxes at Wal-Mart however they do have them cheaper on Amazon and some better colors so I am going to share both links. I love these over having a dresser in my bedroom!
So the shoe shelves, I just got Rubbermaid shelves from Home Depot with the adjustable wall mount track. I got the white 10 inch depth but they have different colors, sizes and depths. These are pretty cheap and super easy to install. Not sure if you knew this or not but if you need them cut you can usually find someone in the back area to cut them down for you there at Home Depot. I got lucky and needed 36 inch so did not have to do that this time but have done it many times before. The trick is just to find someone back there working near the big saw and ask them to help you cut them down. If you go to the front and make a big production out of it they will tell you that they can’t cut those because it might damage them. It will absolutely mess up the laminate on them but who cares, they are for shoes and you can’t see it once installed. So you just have to tell the guy (or gal) that you don’t care if it messes up the ends! The cute little stool, well that is because I now have to sit down to but pants or socks on because I am old 👵 and will lose my balance and fall! They have all different colors but I did spray paint the legs a silver as gold just wasn’t my vibe.
LOVE LOVE LOVE the rug, I got a 4 foot square which actually shows not available right now but it does come in all different sizes. I did wait til I caught it on sale before I ordered it. I always just stick stuff in my cart and watch it every day and then when it goes on sale I snag it!
I use these on all my rugs to keep them from moving around and they are WONDERFUL! I even used them on my bathroom rugs however they are so strong when I pulled them up to wash it did take the rubber off so DO NOT recommend for bathroom rugs but all others they are great!
I have this small organizer for my glasses and watch bands because I do have to be matchy matchy all the time if possible! It works great and is super cheap for the quality! Could be used for many things!
You will also notice that there are not areas in this particular closet for long items, I was bummed at first because where was I going to hang the few dresses that I do have. Well I googled it and got the answer, you use 2 hangers, picture so you can see what I mean, works great for me. Might not work for someone with a lot of dresses though.
And YES I do use a folder to fold my sweaters and sweatshirts! I blame working at Sears when I was young! They do have many different ones on Amazon, I did include a link HOWEVER I actually use a white plastic cutting board that I already had from Wal-Mart!
I don’t wear much jewelry and I use to use a jewelry hanger something like this, which is cute but I just didn’t need that in this closet:
So once I realized that I could remove the closet poles I just slid my jewelry over that small one you see on the right. Again, I don’t wear it much but those are just pieces I don’t want to get rid of.
I do have my clothes organized by like t-shirts, long sleeve, dressy shirts. Jeans and work shorts on the bottom left. Right top is my dressier capris and slacks and bottom is more casual capris. You do you, not everyone wants things like this but for me it works.
